Very well made
Very well made hunk of metal. My old Nikon DX lens fit very securely. The locking pin adds confidence. All F mount Nikon lens should work. The 5 stop aperture ring is a bonus which brings old Nikon G lens back to life as a manual lens (Nikon G lens does not have an aperture ring).

Great natural tone, better than some famous 6922
1 of 1 found this helpful It is the best sounding tube in my Sonic Frontiers CD1. I have tried some highly regarded NOS 6922 and 6DJ8 tubes (e.g. Siemens, Valvo, Mullard, Amperex, Brimar) but I never got the natural tone I was looking for. The Voskhod 6n23p has that natural tone to die for. The voice is reproduced most beautifully. The music breathes with life. Details are in abundance - I never noticed the details in fade outs. Sound stage and imaging are breathe taking. Bass and treble are extended but are without any hint heaviness or brightness. This is a tube I can live with for a long time.

SRAM 506 worked great
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this SRAM 506 freehub body to replace an older model (SRAM 406?). I am happy to say that it is an improved design and a perfect fit.
The old hub spins too freely and has whirling free wheel bearing noise. I did not know the brand or model but I chanced upon the picture on ebay and took a chance.
The SRAM 506 has holes in the base screw where you can add oil to the internal 1/8" bearings and paws without opening up the hub. I added Mobil-1 liberally through the holes and the mechanism smoothed out greatly. I do not recommend adding heavy grease to the paws.
TIP:
Tthe SRAM 506 requires a rare 11mm hex wrench to install. It did not come with one. Instead of pulling my hair out, I used a common 10mm hex wrench in addition to a 1.5mm one. The combo was able to remove the old hub and attach the new one (the same trick will work for hard to find 15mm hex wrench).
