When it is locked, it is SOLID.
I bought this because someone was stealing my gas. I like the locking mechanism because it is very easy and very little effort. Once the cap is locked, it is SOLID. It is very easy to insert and remove with the added handle. It comes with two keys which means I don't have to switch key rings if I need to. One for each ring.
