Good, cheap CPU.
So far so good. Bought to upgrade an HPZ400 legacy workstation. Good value for money.
Sony HVR-A1E Camcorder With 2 Batteries And 4 HD video Cassettes

Good but dated
This was an extremely capable HDV camera when it was first produced. It records DV and HDV (1440x1080i) onto MiniDV tapes - it doesn't support recording video onto memory cards. Compared with its big sister, the Z1, it is much more compact and lightweight, but it does include the pro audio interface add-on which includes 2 x XLR inputs and a hypercardioid microphone. The one main problem is that it uses Firewire (Sony i.Link, IEEE1394) to transfer video into your computer. Windows 10 doesn't have built in support for DV and HDV capture - it is necessary to install legacy drivers for your computer's Firewire card, and use something like HDVSplit to capture HD video to file. However, Magix Vegas Pro 17 does enable direct capture of both DV and HDV.

Even though 2nd hand they are cheap, don't bother.
This is strictly an amateur piece of kit and not for users who require high quality slide copies. Essentially it uses a camera to look at the slide / film rather than a scanner. The optics are poor quality with a lot of chromatic aberration. The software driver supplied is very basic with few user options, notably no control over exposure or contrast. Results are therefore disappointing - too much contrast and overexposed highlights which cannot be recovered even using the 48bit option. It also has difficulty handling bright blue skies with much of the scene burnt out and having an odd, turquoise cast. If you want to seriously archive your valued slides and negatives save your money for something better.
