Quality & rugged
1 of 1 found this helpful Made for the US Armed Forces - If they can't wear them out (using them day in & day out) I doubt that any of us civilians will (unless you totally abuse your gear). Mount to a pistol belt and your well on your way for a days outing. Add a canteen cup and maybe a canteen cup stove to it and you add to it's versatility. Got my first one for Boy Scouts back in the late 1970's - I still have it & use it (though I out grew the belt which I replaced with an identical one in a size that fits me). Have plans for new adventures in the outdoors with the new addition's to my "kit". Made in the USA to take abuse far beyond anything I ever subjected it to. Can't recommend them enough.

This is the "real deal"
This is identical to the pistol belt my dad got me back in 1978 for scouting (which is STILL in "like new" shape after all these years). My only reason for replacing it was I outgrew it (it was a "medium" - the new belt is a "large"). I pulled my canteen off the old belt & put it on the new belt - ready to go hiking again! You can't go wrong with this belt as it is real government surplus.

Scissors
Let's face it. The reason you buy this knife is for the scissors. This is replacing a Wenger Soldier model which is the same knife minus the scissors (which I need for work), it's a great thin utility knife.
