Reel is a beauty. If you're doing anything salt water and bigger than ten pounds I recommend getting the 8000 and up. Reel is super smooth and nothing beats the drag in this class. I came from a vanstaal and I'm not going back. Shimano did their homework and you will not regret.

The best there is. If you're debating between a gloomis or this. Stcroix is your answer. Trust me I have both and I'd trade my Loomis any day...
