A cheaper solution to replacing the bulb on some BMW "Angel Eyes"
1 of 1 found this helpful i got this bulb to replace the blown bulb in my BMW (3 series E9x) angel eyes. The manufacturer wants you to buy a very overpriced whole unit which has one of these bulbs inside it. You have to melt a plastic weld (use a soldering iron) to dismantle the lamp unit after removing from the car but it's not hard and well worth the effort.

A great technical glue - STORMSURE clear
1 of 1 found this helpful I've used STORMSURE clear glue over many years for specific purposes - including sealing holes and tears in flexible waterproof items: vinyl boats, dry bags, tents. It sets as a very flexible, tough and well bonded clear substance.
STORMSURE is expensive but worth it, especially if you save up jobs and use up a whole tube because, after opening, it does eventually thicken in the tube over the months. I'd recommend getting the smaller tubes unless you have a big job.
Often, I use a small blob of the glue over a dry, degreased hole (use meths) that needs mending and temporarily press on a strip of thick clear sticky tape over the glue to squash and spread it out thin and smooth. After setting (next day) you can peal off the tape and you have a good smooth, slightly raised, repair.
