Galloping Goose has good details
Rare O-scale model train. The only downside is having to install the supplied rubber bands on wheels for traction. Not quite sure how to do that without breaking something.

Sony Handycam DCR TRV520
4 of 4 found this helpful This is a great video camera that is extremely versatile in that it works on analog (8mm and Hi8) and digital (using Hi8) signals. Because of this it is a wonderful tool for digitizing old 8mm and Hi8 cassettes. For a PC it comes with a DV to serial cable to hook it to the computer. In my case I wanted to hook it to a Power Mac dual G5 running OS X 10.5.6 using iMovie 09 as editing software. I had to buy a DV to Firewire 400 cable from eBay for $2.20. I plugged the cable into the camera and then into my Mac and was immediately able to download videos from my old analog tapes (8mm and Hi8). The only hiccup was that some of the on screen camera controls did not work, but after searching Apple's FAQs I found that you must make sure that the camera date and time are set. After I did that it allowed for one button downloads. iMovie 09 has some great new automated features like image stabilization and sound enhancement. I also bought a Firewire 800 cable and it works equally as well. A user manual in PDF format is available for free from Sony at http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=DCRTRV520&LOC=3. Having the document in a searchable electronic format is extremely handy. Much better than leafing through a paper booklet.
