3 of 4 found this helpful If you're considering this product, then you are already aware of the legendary reputation of the US ALICE Pack. Before I purchased this, I knew that this was not an original version but one made in China. In theory, I did not mind as long as it would turn out to be a well-made copy. After all, original versions in good (like new) condition are expensive. Unfortunately, this product is nothing like the original. I returned it immediately upon receiving it and had to pay postage for the return. Don't get me wrong, the product arrived 3 days ahead of time, was completely new, and looked great. The problem is that this product simply cannot how a candle to the original US ALICE Pack frame. The shoulder straps are thin in two ways. There is significantly less padding than in the original, and the breadth of the strap is significantly narrower. Moreover, the quick release clips on the shoulder strap do not function as effectively as the original. This is a function of the clips' build and the material used in the straps. To the credit of the manufacturer, I would say that the waist strap is well-made. That, I have no complaints about. The frame itself feels flimsy. When you hear 'flimsy' and ALICE Pack frame, you know you're better staying away. If, like me, you expect this to withstand the amount of weight that an actual US ALICE Pack can withstand, you probably would not trust this frame to do the job. The horizontal metal bar on the frame is constructed differently from the original - it lies flat; the original is bent on the both sides to create space for your back so you aren't pressed up against the frame when carrying the ALICE Pack. This was the final straw for me. I needed this to support the Load Trainer I purchased from Rogue Fitness (manufactured by Innovative Performance) but alas the lack of this protrusion meant that my Load Trainer could not sit on the horizontal bar of the frame as it should on an original. I wished it were not the case but ultimately, you get what you pay for. Invest in something proper; this probably isn't what you're looking for.

Decent Quality for Price
Decently made. The hinges are sturdy and there is a nice locking mechanism between the folded and unfolded modes. However, the plastic feels cheap. While this isn't a problem when used as a selfie stick, I probably won't trust the thing to hold my GoPro in tripod mode. If you can afford it (which I can't), go for the proper GoPro one. Cheers!
