Structo BBQ Grill refurbishing
I am refurbishing an old (early 1970's) Structo 25" round, aluminum BBQ Grill. The "fire pit" is completely rusted out. I'm not restoring so functioning parts required not original. I design on the go! I purchased a 12" diameter mixing bowl at our local grocery store. I took a measurement or two so that I could look for or make a grate for the charcoal to sit on. I had been thinking a wire grate. As I searched the Internet I found a 10" diameter. Perfect, right in the middle of my bowl dimensions. I pop-riveted 3 brackets 120° apart to support the grate. One last step will be to cut vent slots between the bottom of the grate and bottom of the bowl.
