Very good unit.
Excellent little unit. I bought a bumper for my defender which had four LED daytime running lights. The unit would not work the four LED units. It would only light one on the near side and one on the offside, so two of the lights did not work. I presume this is something to do with how LED lights work as opposed to filament lights. So managed to wire it so the unit controlled two of the LED lights and the other two LED's come on with the Main beams. The two LED's controlled by the relay also flash with the indicators. Dims the LED's when the headlights are turned on. Very impressed with what it does for the price.

Value for money
Looks good and well made. Comes with plenty of keys and a decent plastic storage case. It looks like it would prevent a normal attempted theft. Like most security items however, a determined attack by a professional could probably overcome any lock if he was undisturbed for a long enough period of time.

Does not do the job
Put simply it does not lift the bonnet. So it does not work. You have to lift the bonnet and it assists you.
Much better than having to use the stay, but not what I imagined.
I have lubricated the hinges and the bonnet is totally standard, no bonnet bra, sound deadening etc.so no extra weight to lift.
