Understanding wehat it means when you see someone using a white cane
This is a good resource, not only for children in about the 3rd grand and up but also for anyone who interacts with low vision or blind people. The book is done in the format of a childrens book. However, the author describes his day to day living habits and experiences as a blind person who uses a cane in clear and easy to remember points for the sighted and even the young people who read this book. I have very low vision and soon to be using the white cane. This book gave me some insight as to what to expect when the time comes for me to use a "white cane."
