Intel Desktop Motherboard DQ57TM socket 1156 - Intel G6950 CPU & Heatsink SALE!
    Jul 21, 2016
    Solid Workhorse Motherboard
The Intel DQ57TM offers an affordable entry to a solid Linux server. It supports socket 1156 Xeon quad core hyper threaded processors that are now found at reasonable prices. The Xeons cost less and benchmark close to their core i-7 equivalents but run much cooler and are less demanding of the environment. The real plus to this board is the support for ECC memory when running a Xeon processor. Finding a good deal on 4-GB used DDR3 10600E server RAM isn't too difficult. And four memory sockets let you get started with cheaper 1-GB modules. The mATX form factor allows me to house the motherboards in used HP Pavilion cases that I find attractive and run about $10 on CL. Running alongside my equivalent Dell and Supermicro systems I see no performance or reliability differences. I have two of these boards currently and intend to buy a third.

I just bought a third one for my wife.
My teenage daughter wanted a qwerty cell phone. I've never had any problem with Motorola products and expected this phone to meet their texting needs. Shopping on eBay last year we selected the MB-300. My daughter loved the phone and I had to keep adding to my family cell account shared text limit. The phone is full featured. More important the features are easy to access and use. You don't have to spend a lot of time figuring out how to turn features on and off. Configuring the features is intuitive. The only problem we've had was when I tried to over think things. This is my techno-child that demands function over form. The standard is unwavering and the MB-300 delivers. This was a replacement purchase for that first MB-300. That first cell had an accident on gravel. I covered the cracked display with clear packing tape so that it could be used while we waited for the new phone. That first MB-300 still works perfectly, Motorola makes quality products. The MB-300 impressed me. I didn't hesitate to purchase the second one. I needed a replacement phone for my wife. My other teenage daughter has an iPhone and I carry a Galaxy. My wife wanted the Motorola MB-300.
