VR Virtua Racing (Sega Saturn, 1996) Complete

Great game!

I never got to play the arcade version of Virtua Racing, and after I tried the Sega Genesis version I thought I'd give the Saturn version a try. I was not disappointed. While challenging, it was a lot of fun to play. Having the choice of 5 different cars (2 formula-based cars, coupe, go-kart, and a Le Mans-based prototype car) and many different tracks from around the world makes the game a new experience every time I play it. What makes this even better is the Grand Prix mode, which plays like your basic career mode. You pick a racing team and start driving go-karts. You have to win 2 races with this go-kart to "graduate" on to the next car. You repeat this until you've won at least 2 races with each car in the game. With this mode, the car selection, track selection, and the new feel you get playing it every time, it's a quality product that I would highly recommend for your Saturn. 5 stars.
