Very fun
Gameplay is 5 stars
Design is 4 stars
I primarily play this game with one other player. It works well as a 2 player game and seems like it would work well with more. This is, in my opinion, the most fun game in the Evolution series (I have not played Climate yet). The game mechanics are more fluid and the traits are more intriguing. The game looks wonderful and you don’t have to disassemble the game components to put it away. My biggest complaint with this game is that the cards are cut imperfectly and can not be riffle shuffled. They must be Vegas shuffled or, if you put them in sleeves, stack/push shuffled. This doesn’t take away from game play, but makes set up a pain.
I highly recommend this game if you like the Evolution series.
Pros: fun, engaging, beautiful, tactile, expansion cards available
Cons: cards are cut imperfectly making them impossible to riffle shuffle, rule book does not fit inside the box neatly, rules are not as clear as they could be
