Small gold discs
Just as they advertise, although they are not the shiny ones. They are a bit small for what I needed really but did do the job. I found that quite a few seemed to bend over when you take them from the paper to put where you need them, a bit frustrating and several just got stuck on my fingers and hands and the carpet. I had to remove the ones that had bent as if you want 'rounds' they end up half a moon and don't look right. But the prices are good and you can sometimes get 2 for one. Bargain.

New Best Friend!
I haven't had this camera for long but so far I am now in love! Neat and chunky retro style. A new item but older model with an optical viewfinder, which was my reason for buying it. It doesn't matter how big the screen gets I cannot see it without glasses and by then half the world has gone by. I am not overly fond of cameras with higher pixels, I don't need then and there are just too many pixels. This is unforgiving at 14.7 of anyone over 15 years old. The pixels find things that aren't event here, however I am looking for for something that can grab detail of other things such as plants, insects etc., not really people. It was happy at 9" from a flower and I enlarged that greatly on the computer until it began to lose detail. I don't know what the result would have been if I had tried to print as I have not yet tried. This pack came with a canvas, but solid bag as an ad on and included a further 1G card. A nice little gift. The price was a lot less that other new/old Ixus 980's but still quite pricey if you are used to paying £99. If you are happy with a screen then stick with them. If you are fed up banging your nose against it because you never got used to the optical viewfinder disappearing then go for this. You wont be disappointed. On/off low set to avoid unintentional turing on, is a little small so often find I have not turned it on. Door to battery compartment seems solid and both battery and card are easy to take out and put back in. Needs a 2.5 protector for the rear screen, you can get them for 99p for one online, better to get a pack. I am going to see if I can get a further guarantee for my recent experience of cameras leads me to think even 3 years is not enough. This one is for one year. Set-up seems fairly simple and also has a retro feel to it, although these cameras aren't very old. Date set comes up each time you turn on, as it says in the accompanying booklet. I assume this can be turned off but this is not obvious. As yet I am in the early stages of playing with this so might discover problems, but most of the research I did seems to indicate that other people have been happy with the 980 too. So hope what I have said is of use.
