Gutermann - always
There are lots of threads you can buy - some cheap, some not so. Ever since I learned to use a sewing machine quite a number of years ago, I've always been given Gutermann thread and continue to use it. It's good quality, lots of colours and suitable for most materials.

A bit overkill, but I like it
I needed a new dish rack and you'd be surprised how difficult it was to get one! All the ones that I had looked at had a very low cutlery space so items just fall out. This one is perhaps a bit more than required, but there is plenty of room, and it can be extended if you've lots of dishes. I do like the tray underneath for the dripping water, but it can be a bit difficult to remove and clean. Otherwise I'm very happy with it.

Good stuff
It's a good quality compost with no bits in it as you get with some garden ones. So far the plants like it. If re-potting your plants to 10cm pots, then you'll do about 3 with this bag.
