Super product for the "IN THE FIELD" photographer!
I am totally happy with this product, from the quality of it to the way it works. I am also Very Satisfied with the Customer Support from Cotton Carrier with an issue that I had that I will go into now!
IMPORTANT NOTICE !!!!
IF you are planning on using this system with the Manfrotto MHXPRO-3W Head as I am, you will also need to purchase an Arca Swiss Adapter as the Manfrotto MHXPRO-3W and I would assume the MHXPRO-3WG Bubble Levels on the right side do not allow the Cotton Carrier Hub to clear when trying to use your Manfrotto 200PL plate. I chose one from Kirk. By using this adapter, you mount your 200PL to the bottom of the adapter plate, add the Kirk Arca Clamp, and you can then go directly from your Cotton Carrier Vest to your tripod via the Cotton Carrier Arca Swiss compatible rail! If you use a Manfrotto Plate on some long glass like I do, when you get ready to snap a lens into the tripod, the whole Kirk Arca Adapter with your 200PL plate attached can be popped out to accept your lens directly into the Manfrotto MHXPRO-3W Head!
There are a couple of good ones out there. Kirk Enterprise Solutions makes a QR-AB1 that is what I chose because the extra "adapter plate" gives you even more height! They also make one especially for the RC-2 system, but I chose the QR-AB1 as I was not sure the Cotton Carrier Hub would clear.
You can find the QR-AB1 at Kirk Enterprises Solutions under specialty Quick Release Clamps
Kirk Customer Service also was VERY helpful!
Another Adapter that I found is made by HejnarPhoto for the Manfrotto MHXPRO-3W.
You can find them at the Hejnar Photo store
and the make several others for different Manfrotto Heads1
Hope this saves some of you a bit of trouble!
