disappointing
This device is reputed to work reasonably well with closed-barrel terminals, and I have no reason to disagree; but the illustration appears to show a crimped open-barrel terminal, suggesting that this crimper will work with such. So far I have not been able to figure out how, nor has the seller been able to come up with specific instructions. I suspect the punch tip, and perhaps the base also, would need to be shaped differently.

Well made, but some others are more widely applicable.
The 491B (and 493B) work well for breakers whose handles pivot (i.e. most of them), and the mostly-metal construction seems unlikely to break or wear out prematurely. However, these lockouts do not work well for breakers (such as Wadsworth) which slide between the OFF and ON positions.
ABUS lockouts work much better on sliding breakers, but (being plastic) are not as rugged. If I could have only one of these two manufacturers' lockouts, I'd choose ABUS due to the broader applicability.

Works well
This design has been around for a while. Fortunately, it seems they DO still make them like they used to!
