M.2 NGFF M-Key to Desktop PCIe x4 NVMe SSD Adapter Card 2242 2260 2280 M2 Drive

Works great, and it is possible to boot from an NVMe drive installed on it even if the motherboard does not support NVMe, but speeds will be reduced.

I am able to boot into Windows 10 from an NVMe drive on it using Clover bootloader installed on a USB drive using BDU. The adapter was installed with an NVMe drive of advertised max read speeds of 3400 MB/s on a PCIe 2.0 x4 slot, and testing showed read speeds of around 1400 MB/s. Obviously, the motherboard's PCIe slot is bottlenecking the drive's speed, but the adapter itself might also be affecting the drive's speed since the theoretical maximum speed of PCIe 2.0 x4 is 2000 MB/s.
