Nice issue of the last songs recorded by Bowie. A true must for fans and once again proof of outstanding craftsmanship.

High standard British seventies rock!
1 of 1 found this helpful "Expect no Mercy" is one of the better albums of the British band Nazareth. The band is well known for the ballad and European hit single "Love Hurts", but certainly more loved by rock adepts for songs like "Hair of the Dog", "Turn on Your Receiver", "Shanghai'd in Shanghai" and "Razamanaz".
"Expect no Mercy" was yet another proof of their high standard rock music. Dan Cafferty's vocals are legendary and case there was a righteous God, Nazareth would have had several European hitsingles and -albums. Alas all glory went to Status Quo and Thin Lizzy.
Try "Expect no Mercy". You won't regret it.

A bit of sweet nostalgia
As a teenager I constantly was looking for new bands and fun music. One day I came across the Greg Kihn 7-inch "For You", a Springsteen-cover. And I kinda liked it. The Greg Kihn Band was active on the Beserkley label, home of the much appreciated Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers, The Yachts and The Rubinoos...
This compilation-cd paints a picture of what Greg Kihn was all about : straight honest rock 'n' roll, a band that was enjoying itself, songs about love, hope and growing up,...
Now, some 40 years later, the music of Greg Kihn brings me back to those fabulous days in my life. And believe me, the music you grow up with will always be the music that matters.
And for those much younger than me, just give it a try. This band did stand the test of time.
In Europe Greg Kihn is just a one hit wonder, which is a pity as "Jeopardy" isn't the best song they ever made. Far from it.
