A good camcorder for a specific application
I use this ZR85 for astronomy recording since it does not compress the analog video. This particular device works well but has to be handled carefully as it can experience an unexpected hard failure at any time. This includes such things as tape jam, failure to record for an unknown reason, unable to play back, playback showing pixellation and no clear images. This purchase so far has worked well but again, I have to take great care in storage, transport, being sure it is not subject to harsh temperatures.
