Spyderco Pacific Salt
This is a lot of knife. It's light weight but substantial with a blade capable of serious work. The H1 steel holds an edge reasonably well and you don't have to worry about rust. It opens easily with a flick of the thumb and locks open securely. The handles provide good griping ability and the yellow color should help from misplacing the knife. All in all this knife has a lot to offer.

The Little Black Pot That Does It All
I love my new Lodge Camp Oven. I knew I would because it's the fourth one I own. This one is the 8 inch two quart version. I also have a ten inch, a regular depth 12 inch and a deep 12 inch camp oven. I love to cook in them. I always told my kids when they were growing up that you could cook anything in a Dutch Oven and it's really true! Now that the kids are grown up and gone I decided to buy this smaller camp oven for the times I don't need a larger one to prepare food for more people. So far I've only cooked some pork ribs in the newest one, but when warmer weather gets here I'm planning to give that little black pot a good workout. It's well made with a properly fitting lid and heats evenly making cooking a breeze. All my Lodge Camp Ovens are top quality and have served me well over the years. I'm looking forward to many years of service from this newest addition to the group. Someday when I'm gone the kids will get them and they too can enjoy a lifetime of camp oven cooking. With proper care, they will last for generations.

Makin better bacon
This bacon press is well designed and is the perfect size for use in my 10 inch cast iron skillet. It came pre seasoned so it's a simple matter to keep it properly maintained. It's heavy enough to make bacon lay down flat on the skillet which causes the bacon to be cooked more evenly and not curl up. Simply put, it's a well built bacon press that should last for generations.
