Private Heller and the Bantam Boys : An American Medic in World War I

    A Truly Unique Book
This book is truly a unique experience. While most historic books tend to be staid compilations of facts about the period, author Greg Archer takes us much deeper. His commitment to accurately and honestly portray and share the feelings of his Grandparents during WWI, transports readers back a hundred years to experience them for themselves. The book is about real people with whom almost all of us can identify. Along with the reading of these personal accounts comes a sinking awareness that they are mirrored in today's conflicts and current events. Almost a century has passed since the events described in this book ocured, but they all relate to the battlefields today. It's a sad testimony to how little "conflict resolution" has advanced. As I finished the book, I thought about how many "Carey the Clowns" we have lost in Iraq and Afghanastan.

    Tiny Books
The content and art is OK, but not spectacular. The biggest disappointment is the size of the books. They are really SMALL!
RARE EXPORTS: A CHRISTMAS TALE Movie Film DVD Horror Fantasy Adventure 2010

    Don't Open the Box!!
I really like this movie. Not only does it provide a glimpse of another culture, the acting is good, photography is excellent, and the storyline is a lot of fun. That being said, it probably is too dark a film for small children. There is some violence, dead animals, and frontal nudity of male characters. It will make an interesting addition to your Christmas video collection.
