One of the best Lionel refrigerator cars!
Nice detail, colorful and sharp graphics, scale size with die-cast wheel trucks and couplers. The finest of Lionel's USA made production.

Attractive, but not the best out there.
Nice paint colors, and good size to pair with streamlined locomotives, but at this price point the coaches should have detailed interiors instead of window silhouettes. They also lack the diaphragms between coaches that add realism to the MTH and K-Line units. They gray paint also seems to be prone to rub off the slick aluminum bodies. Finally interior lighting is supplied by incandescent bulbs that flicker and are prone to good bad.

High Quality Lionel!
The extended vision caboose introduced by Lionel in 1984 is an excellent model of the prototype and looks great with scale (standard o) rolling stock. The Grand Trunk version features die-cast trucks and couplers, internal illumination, and an operating smoke unit! Released along with a beautiful CN/GTW GP-38 diesel locomotive in 1994 at the time of the highest quality production in the USA!
