Great little device for all around use, ...

Great little device for all around use, but I am not into hunting game.. so I can't say for sure if it would be good for such use at long distances. So far, I have used it to see where cool air is leaking through near the ceiling of my home. I think this little device will also be great for finding engine misfire faults, like (for example) the engine surface over a misfiring piston, will be a bit colder than the surface over the rest of the pistons that are igniting properly in a running engine.
