SADOWSKY R5-24 Used Electric Bass Guitar

Sadowsky’s unsung model.
Great sounding, clear defined tone, with lots of variation due to the EQ, and pickup settings. Fat low end with crystal clear high end. Great player as all Sadowsky’s are.
Yamaha BB404 Electric Bass Guitar with gig bag

Yamaha BB404 - sleeper hit
This model of BB tends to fly under the radar. Has the older TRB body style, and remarkably good sound and build quality for its price range. With a proper set up, plays and sounds like a much more expensive bass. Ripe for upgrades ,such as a pre-amp, but passive tone is quite good too. Solid alder body in oil finish permits good resonance, and the fingerboard and fretwork are, again, impressive for this price range. As an alternate to squier Jazz, anything in the squier line would likely cost more, but may include less robust features. The 24 fret neck, with a nice piece of rosewood, could be considered an upgrade over many squiers, as is the heavy cast bridge. If your looking for a good alternative to the plethora of jazz bass shaped models available, this is a great option. No one will confuse it for anything than what it is, a clean, simple solid Yamaha. Having the TRB body style does class it up a bit as well. Highly recommended.

No better value on the used market.
I own two of these. There is no better amp on the used market at the price. They are. Great utilitarian combos that can be had below $150 and work well in live and studio environments. The 75 watts provide plenty of headroom for monitoring, and these sound fine mic'd. For those guitar players that don't want to use the internal sounds, the preamp can be completely bypassed by pressing two buttons at power up. This will allow your pedalboard guys the ability to use it completely clean, and have the sounds they've programmed into their pedalboards be portrayed perfectly. I've never had any failure issues or problems in any manner and both my amps gig weekly. Makes a great back line combo, or rehearsal room amp. And for the student, it will inspire hours of practicing with the hundreds of sounds inside. The presets are fairly dead on...back in black sounds just like the original Angus tone, Randy Rhodes sound like it should. Miraculous amount of great tones for a ridiculously low price for these great used combos. If your looking for a great practice or live amp, these are very hard to beat. Get one if you can. You'll be happy with the result.
