Our New Singer Quantum Sewing Machine
1 of 1 found this helpful When we were first married forty-two years ago, I bought my wife a Necchi sewing machine, and for a while, she designed and sewed her own clothes. Children and a teaching career prevented her for doing much more than sewing repair jobs in the years that followed. Now that we are retired, the interest has been rekindled, but a 40 year old sewing needed to be updated. Now, she is able to continue her creative clothing designs on dolls and grand daughters with a greater freedom than ever before. The Singer Quantum 9940 is absolutely the epitome of ease of use. The walking foot allows for easy sewing with delicate fabrics like fine lace and silk. The narrow hemmer and all the attachments are a god send. The automatic needle threader allows for quick set ups, and the turtle speed button allows her to sew at her own pace. The only draw back is that the embroidery ability is very limited, but to conquer that problem, it would have been necessary to buy a sewing machine twice the cost of this one. For what we needed, the 9940 is perfect creative buddy, and for what it's worth, check out the valentine doll outfit my wife designed and created on the American Girl Doll Felicity we just sold on Ebay - auction number 270341203149. She is now creating doll wedding dresses to match the dresses her mother, grandmother and daughters wore at their weddings. How cool is that!

Amazing coins that are investments.
One of the most beautiful coins the U.S. mint has ever created. As the demand for these reverse proof coins increases, so will the value of the coin. Buy the coin always graded if at all possible, and buy the reverse proof in the best possible grade you can afford. MS 70 grade is the top grade. There will always be a buyer for the coin somewhere in the future. One is bound to get out of the coin more than what it was originally purchased for. Be sure to go after the key dates, that is to say, those coins that have lower minted numbers. Thank you and best of luck!
