So-so video
If you are a Cheap Trick fan, you'll enjoy this DVD. However, the sound and video quality are only fair at best. Filmed outdoors, the spotlights often "flood/white" out the band members. I listened to the DVD in Dolby 5.1 stereo. The sound seemed very muddy with too much echo...which seemed very odd for an outdoor concert. I wish the vocal mics would have been keyed up more. Despite the rather average sound and video quality, the DVD does offer a great collection of Cheap Trick songs. They do sing all their classic hits...and I especially enjoyed them singing the theme song to "That 70's Show". Overall, I'd give Cheap Trick's Silver DVD a "C+" rating.

Heads Up!
Don’t expect to hear Michael W. Smith singing or playing on this CD. This really isn’t a Michael W. Smith CD! This is a beautiful string quartet playing traditional Christmas music that Michael W. co-produced. Again note...CO-PRODUCED...not wrote, arranged, directed, or plays on. Yes, it would have been nice to have Smitty playing piano or singing, but this is strictly a classical string quartet playing. The CD is relaxing and I enjoyed the traditional string arrangements offered up on this disc. If you like classical string music (violins, cellos), then you’ll enjoy this CD, if not, stick to Michael’s own Christmas releases.

Howard Jones Live in Salt Lake City DVD
I am a huge Howard Jones fan. That being said, I was a little disappointed with this DVD. While the sound quality was pretty good, I was disappointed with the video quality and editing. Maybe it's because I've seen too many high quality, high def. concert films, but this one left me feeling let down. The video editing seemed jumpy...sometimes even blurry and out of focus. Lighting issues also created some problems...as did several camera angles.
Still, this is a nice concert film, but diehard fans might be a little let down with the overall quality. Howard does perform all his hit songs and it's enjoyable to see him in this kind of setting.
