Yale Keyless door lock
6 of 8 found this helpful I've been wanting to get a front door lock that doesn't need a key for ages. Finally done it and it's great. This Yale works brilliantly, well thought out. Battery operated, but they've thought of everything, if the batteries die after you haven't acted on the warnings to replace them, there are very discreet terminals to touch one of those rectangular batteries with the two terminals at the top to, and then you can swipe, etc. to unlock. The batteries should last for at least a year, so not going to be a common problem, but fantastically thoughtful detail.
I've had the lock for about 2 months now and it's working very well. I use both the key pad to let myself in if I've been for a walk or run and didn't want to carry my keys. If I've just been driving then I have my keys in my hand so I swipe the tag in front of the key pad and it unlocks. So satisfying!
