Manual Engraver of which you will not regret that you did not buy an expensive, used, New Hermes engraver as so many listed on Ebay.

The product is an excellent value for money. You can find a nice video of quite a similar engraver on this Youtube link: Setting up and using your flat engraver. (however two comments on this video : 1) the ratio only needs to be set to the arms and not to the table. please refer to the instruction manual of the engraver, regarding this. 2) my experience is that only one pass of the diamond drag pen is better than have it passed a few times). Important note: the picture on this ebay link shows the diamond drag pen installed at the wrong side of the arm: it will NOT work properly (read straight line font = straight line engraved) this way. The manual that comes together with the engraver is very good (and instructs the diamond drag pen installed at the correct side of the arm). When start using the engraver, please be sure to use the vertical line on the holder of the diamond pen. as a reference for the ratio. i received 6 pigs instead of 4 pigs, what is a bonus. The machine has a well thought over design and is even good looking. I use this tool to engrave tiny letters on polished brass in my shop.
