Bart Reiter Standard 5 String Open Back Banjo

Great Banjo

I did a LOT of research before upgrading from my entry level Goodtime banjo. This Bart Reiter was great quality and a fantastic value for a handmade instrument that included a hard shell case and shipping. No banjo out there could beat it. The banjo was used, but showed NO sign of any wear, and, the case still had the tag on it. Bart had lightly penciled in the position of the bridge since the strings must be loosened for shipping. I placed the bridge in position, tuned it up and was playing in five minutes. The tone is sweet and the scoop allows me to comfortably strike the strings way up at the x position, to get a beautiful old timely Appalachian tone. Highly recommended.
