Dangerous
1 of 2 found this helpful Dangerous: no automatic shut off. Small water tank, you will have to fill it to the brim for a decent amount. Low quality coffee filter, should be gold-plated metal mesh, not plastic. At the end of brewing a small pool of water is still at the bottom of the tank.

SHUTS OFF FOR NO REASON
It keeps shutting off for no reason. I am doing very light work, like stripping paint from wood furniture, yet, it goes on for a while then stops. If I shake it, sometimes it restarts, sometimes it doesn't. A loose connection? Whatever it is, it is not working properly. AND I hate having to spend my time returning it etc etc etc.

They don't tell you about connectors size. Floating switch is a PAIN IN THE LOWER-LOWER BACK.
5 of 8 found this helpful It comes with fittings in two different sizes but not the standard size for a garden hose. The fittings are not even PVC but some cheap black plastic that will crack for sure under stress or temp differentials. Why didn't they include a fitting for a garden hose: it's obvious that if one buys this piece of equipment it is not for industrial use but for some home project. Right?
Was it too expensive to throw in an additional 25cent piece of plastic? The specs don't even mention the connectors / fittings sizes: why not? So I got this pump and I had to schlep 25 minutes to a hardware store just to get a piece of plastic. I buy online BECAUSE I don't want to waste my time running to stores.
The floating switch: you simply cannot control it. When the water level gets down to the height of the pump the switch goes flat: at this point you have a 50-50 chance that it may be on or off.
The switch wire is right next to the power wire and they get tangled up. If you use the pump in a deep container (like a barrel), you will have to attach a cord to the switch and hang it on the edge of the barrel, making sure it doesn't bend downwards, to make sure it stays on.
Lastly: 23 ft lift? Not on this planet where standard gravity laws still apply. Try the moon.
