Works, but is not automatic on/off

The fan blows 100% of the time, which is not what I wanted. The compressor comes on and the dehumidifier works when it does. But just the constant fan, without it shutting off by itself forces me to have to monitor the relative humidity percentage and push the on/off button to either run it or not, depending on my desired humidity. That should have been made to tie in with the compressor's on/off logic.

I am 300 lbs and it does not take long until the thing is flattened out and of no use at all.
