An excellent Bible for group study
2 of 2 found this helpful This Bible was recommended by my church for a Bible study done with one other person. Thus far, I can say that it's excellent for that purpose. The commentary and Life Application notes actually exceed the Scripture text, so there is much for the person who is not a Bible scholar to gain. Contextual maps are provided, and character studies abound, and the New Living translation is easy to read, without losing the poetry. For those with more experience in Bible study, your opinion will be more a function of your theology. I served a sentence in one of the liberal denominational seminaries back in the late 70's & early 80's, and if you've been influenced by that sort of teaching, this will be a challenging study Bible for you: it's well researched, so it has a flavor of an intellectual work, but you'll not find any support for the 19th century German demythologizers here. If you've been trained more conservatively, you may still find much insight from the commentaries and other accompanying material, without being offended by a too-casual version of the Scriptures.
I am simultaneously doing one study with a dear friend I've known for 22 years, and at the same time with my youngest son, who is 18. Since I was the person inviting, I felt like buying the Bibles for all of us. I had a bit of a shock when I contacted the local Christian book store, as this is an EXPENSIVE version. Fortunately, I was able to get 3 Bible from 3 different eBay vendors, and they all arrived in pristine condition, and I paid for all three about what I would have paid for a single Bible at the store.
NOTE: Because there is so much additional material, this is a BIG book, and the publishers have kept it in one volume by using small fonts. If you are of a certain age, you may want to reconcile yourself to reading glasses, a magnifying glass, or a page-size Fresnel lens (eBay has many Fresnel lenses listed for 1$ & up, plus shipping).

1 of 1 found this helpful The day my new cartridges arrived, I had a BIG print job, and my old cartridges had JUST run out of ink. I was a bit concerned that the ink path might have dried. However, I installed the new cartridges, and perfect printing immediately! No need to run any calibration. Flawless reproduction, even in color and on T-shirt transfers.

A MUST-HAVE and a great value.
The WORST part about loving surplus pistols is the difficulty in getting parts, and mags are a MUST. These are a perfect fit and function.
