Good value, but needs fettling to fit.
The battery itself seems to be assembled well and is easy to operate. The LED charge lights are difficult to see as you push the button, and you have to glance around either side of your finger to see the exact level- Its obviously a bit of an afterthought in the design.
The mount is a different ball-game. Now, I’m lucky that my bike is ally and has a rectangular downtube. The water-bottle holes do not suit the battery mount- I can’t imagine they do on any bike, so you will have to drill another – I drilled and fitted a heavy duty self-tapping screw. To fit a riv-nut may not have been possible (and anyway- the cost of the tool and the riv-nuts exceed the cost of the battery itself!) You MUST use the spacers- as this assists the release of the battery once you need to remove it- It’s a tight fit- and the backing plate of the folder will flex – at a guess Id say the lock (which is only a lock and NOT a switch) could easily be compromised.
Overall, it does what I wanted- I’ve built 2 other bikes with an ebike conversion and Id happily buy one of these again if I do a 3rd. Its too early to test the longevity of the cells as Ive got to doing a bit more pedalling and a lot less coasting on the motor. Its bound to be more that a Frog battery. It does charge up to nearly 42 volts- so if you are a home brew constructor- bear this in mind for your voltage controller

Another tool?
Honda rapper setting requires 3 hands. One for the spanner, one for the 1mm spanner and one for the feeler-gauge. This product/tool goes some way to make it a two-handed job!
