Knitting in colors that pop.
This book provides some basic projects to make with color combinations that you normally don't see. The author likes
to use fully saturated colors in her knitting. She presents
some ideas about embellishing with duplicate stitch and embroidery. I prefer her second book Color by Kristin which
also makes use of the same color range but has charts in the back of the book to use in making your own stranded knitting.
I enjoyed looking at the pictures and may use some of the ideas on color combinations but doubt I'll make any of the projects presented in the book.

Crochet Stitch Bible very comprehensive!!
This book has a nice easy to use format. It has a spiral binding so you can
lay it flat while crocheting. Each crochet stitch has a color photo and a diagram too. The photos seem to have a sheen (possibly from the yarn used?) that does make some of the more intricate stitches difficult to see fine detail.
I could only find one post stitch and one cable stitch but all in all this book was well worth purchasing. Its very comprehensive and gives alot of instructions at the beginning on different techniques. I know its one that I will refer to often.

Not very inspiring for projects, disappointing pictures
I was very disappointed with this book. The majority of pictures are in the beginning of real quilts in black and white. The actual afghans only show
a small block and give you instructions how to proceed. You don't get to see
a full size version of what your making. That's okay for patterns like the
baskets afghan where its just repeatative blocks but for the flying geese,
log cabin, sawtooth, ect your left wondering what all your time and effort will produce and if you'll even like it. The middle of the book has a few color pictures of wall hangings, which is about all your going to want to invest in making with this book.
