DVD player remote dint work and the company never replaced it

I ordered the DVD player a few weeks ago I had it delivered to my home address in Chicago I brought it down to Florida with me and hooked it up and found that the remote control does not work so I could not hook up and operate my DVD player hoping I can get a little remote without any hassle
