Excellent replacement - easy install
2 of 2 found this helpful Swapping out the old style Genie Wall Remote for this control was quick, easy and a nice upgrade! The old remote simply stopped functioning. It was serviced by a tech when he did maintenance on the garage door but the thing was nearly 15 years old - not worth saving. This replacement is a better design - I like the big lit button for opening/closing the garage door. No mistaking that. The door lock feature was a nice upgrade from the original. Installing took approximately 5 minutes. The only difficulty is reading the markings for the two connection screws. They are legible but difficult to read because they aren't printed but apparently lightly stamped onto the circuit board. That said, it only took me a few seconds and a bright light to ascertain which was which and get the wires connected. Then just mounted onto wall into the same holes as the original used. Definitely recommend this wall control
