Truly amazing...worth every penny!
2 of 2 found this helpful These dumbbell's are extremely well-made and insanely easy to rapidly adjust from 10-90 pounds. The dials at each end of the dumbbell twist bi-directionally and have a subtle, but solid "stop" at each increment. One feature I find truly exceptional is the ability to adjust the dumbbell in 2.5 pound increments (giving an asymmetrical weight distribution), allowing gradual progressive overload training (especially at lower weights where the regular 5 pound increase could be a 10-50% increase in the weight of the dumbbell).
The dumbbells are incredibly stylish, if your into that sort of thing, but more importantly they are designed and constructed very well. Because the locking mechanism is not designed for the typical way dumbbells are abused in commercial gyms, you cannot drop these or do the "bro-toss" at the end of your heavy sets. You also cannot use these for plank rows or any other exercise where you would support your weight on the dumbbell.
One potential drawback is the fixed length of the dumbbell at 17.5 inches. Some users might find this awkward, especially at the lower weight spectrum.
And finally, the cost! These things are not cheap and therefore will not fit everybody's budget. But, if you are you are ready to make the investment in a single pair of heavy adjustable dumbbells that will replace a rack of 33 pairs of dumbbells (counting in 2.5 pound increments), these are truly exceptional.
