URO Brand is consistently good...
While this URO brand part is not from the OE manufacturer, it is an affordable alternative that makes sense. Be careful with other AM parts for Jaguar, especially the rubber pieces, there are plenty of bad ones out there. As these older factory Jag parts get harder to find, URO makes good replacement pieces for the rubber. I still prefer factory Jaguar, especially for high labor jobs like upper & lower control arm bushings and ball joints, but they will cost you 3 to 4 times as much. If it takes me lots of time and effort to get in and replace it, I want the part to last another 10+ years, aftermarket parts won’t. But for items like this, it’s a very high quality repro at a substantial savings. You just have to decide how much it will sting if an installed part fails early... upper shock bushings, not so bad, lower control arm bushings, a nightmare.
If you go aftermarket, go with URO.

Very helpful...
I needed a "helping hands" tool with long enough flexible arms that it could reach over a guitar. The base of this one has a clamp, which I clamped to a heavy piece of wood to keep it steady. The base by itself will not sit flat, in other words, it isn't self-supporting. If you don't plan to clamp it to the edge of your workbench, or the actual item you are working on, you'll need something heavy enough for it to grab on to. Once the assembly is firmly set, it works great. The light is helpful, but for me, the magnifier actually makes it hard to facilitate my soldering iron and solder to the right spots; the refraction of the lens is a bit disorienting... but you can adapt to it over time. It is a powerful magnifier.
This tool is a nice value... good quality for the money.

Nice preamp tubes, not quite as "alive" as Sylvania's or RCA's
These are great, strong, reliable older tubes. I have done an A/B comparison with both a Sylvania and an RCA, which I like just a bit better. All three old versions were better than any of the newer Russian and Chinese tubes though, noticeably so. Go NOS if you can.
