Beautiful, intense, gritty--not for the faint of heart!
One should be prepared for the tragic story this musical tells and the gritty, authentic bar room and brothel language used to show the scenes listeners can only visualize. The music is charged with both fear and love, moving between the strong emotions of the two main characters trapped in time and chaos during the Vietnam war. This music and its story is as haunting yet dimly hopeful as our memories of this war and the soldiers and children left behind.

A rare find and true treasure for piano and violin aficionados
This is just breathtakingly beautiful to hear and to appreciate as one just now learning about classical music in retirement. The CD is in brand new condition, but with a crack in the back side of the case due to shipping and being piled under heavy parcels as many seem to suffer these days. For me, this is a real keepsake or for a serious musician who can appreciate these masterful performances by both soloists. I am very pleased to add this to my collection of classical piano CDs and will treasure it always.

Slick high tech engineering falls short on instructions!
7 of 8 found this helpful While the sound and functions are good, I found that the power cord does not fit tightly and drops out when the unit is handled while plugged into the wall. I also had difficulty figuring out how to use the Bluetooth feature as the word BLUE is not spelled out or abbreviated in the function window. And, the instructions do not explain all of the steps needed to get the selected function to work or how the power button has to be used in a sequence of steps to get the unit to play or perform the functions. After contacting the company tech support for help, I was then able to enjoy using the boombox. The battery placement diagram inside the case is nearly impossible to see without a magnifying glass and an LED flashlight. After some trial and error, one can get them in but not easily. Once the batteries are installed, there is no way to know that the unit is off as the power button does not turn off the red standby light that appears to stay on permanently. The instructions do not explain this operation, either. Instructions explaining how to use the AUX and PHONES jacks are also not offered, so the user has to experiment with various devices to learn the basic operations. Once the user gets past these questions, the unit will be fun to use.
