Doesn't work with Raspberry Pi Zero W's consistently

I bought it for my Raspberry Pi zero W and only the leftmost port of the usb ports is recognized when a device is plugged in. The other ports are unrecognized to the pi, even if only one thing is plugged in. This may be a configuration issue with the pi considering that when I plug it into my phone, all 4 ports work fine.
