Easy Replacement
The window buttons broke on my 2007 Mercedes SL550. I looked at the replacement costs and labor involved in replacing the whole window switch and decided to avoid that headache and expense. Instead, I purchased the window switch unit (you can't find window buttons sold separately online so you have to buy the whole unit) and carefully popped the window buttons out of the new unit using a small screw driver. Then, I snapped the new window buttons into the old window unit and it works like new! I would definitely recommend this approach. It's easy (takes less than 5 minutes) and will save you hundreds in labor costs.
