its a well a very well known valve ,usually used as the main valve of an amplifier. i am using it on a projector am.

lightweight with great features
2 of 2 found this helpful this is a phono preamp. and as such ,it makes sound
extremely transparent , a quality that it is usually dominated
by v. expensive high end items.
this is a tiny box with a beautiful wooden front end and smooth
metal enclosure.
it has high quality golden metal inputs and outputs and inside
every connexion is top quality.
this little phono preamp. is very easy to switch on , MM. & MC.outputs are high quality ( my low output MC. cartridge , works perfectly .
it works particularly well when partnered with companion Tisbury passive preamp.

BUT one truly Great.
thats its complete passiveness., all the music tonality
is solely up to the power amp.,and nothing of what we
hear comes from the preamp.
this is as truly should be ( but rarely never is )
this tiny piece of gear is one of the few exceptions.
and i can tell you, combined with its Phono companion ,
you get far more than expected.
other wise ,like i said on my review of the phono preamp.
this one has top quality connections as well.
beautiful wooden front and smooth metal body.
