thorough introduction
For one like me with little knowledge of the Incas this seems to provide a complete, well-written, introduction.

a long walk, but "feet of Clay??"
A very long walk in an interesting part of the world made especially difficult with serious foot blisters. Unfortunately, the walker seems an unpleasant woman and the text mostly covers her blisters and the relationship with her support driver. In the books' forward she describes her fathers' reaction to her first long walk: told about the success, he said " stop swanning and get a job". Exactly my reaction.

An incredible experience
A runner choosing a shortcut around the world by circling through Siberia and Alaska in winter with no accompanying support and experiencing her 60th birthday midway through! A must-have read!
