Grass Gator 4-Line Replacement Power Head,No 5600, Cmd Products Inc
    Aug 22, 2016
    Easy to Install and Use
I have installed and am using this on a heavy duty Ryobi bent angle electric grass cutter. I got tired of the line playing out from the original bump-type head, tried others, and settled on this model. To install, it is only necessary to take off the nut and washer. Then select one of the black plastic "cups" slide that in place with one of the large washers, put on this head, and use one of the nuts provided (follow the enclosed instructions) To use it, you cut red or green line to twice the length that almost reaches the cutoff blade, bend it in half, slide each end into the adjacent slots, and pull them through the brass eyelets to snug the middle down. Cut and install a second length in the other slots. Colorado weeds are mean spirited. This cuts them down. It works well along the house foundation, but the line wears down. When used against a rock wall, the line sometimes seizes and is yanked out. The amount of line thus wasted is a lot less than the bump-type head it replaced, which sometime would spool out a yard or more! I had an identical unit. It lasted 5 years, but was starting to show some cracking. Since this head is out of production, I actually bought a spare.
