Great Lights
I did a lighting retrofit of a church and used 250 of these bulbs. The lights are brighter than the flourescent lights they replaced. The color is good, too. It was very easy to bypass the ballast and being double ended made wiring easy.
The quality is good. I bought the frosted bulbs. I like that they had metal on one side of the tube which should act as a heat sink and make the tube more sturdy. The only thing to be careful about is that the bulbs come with plastic protectors over the pins on the end. When you remove them, hang on to the plastic end fitting on the end of the tube. I did not do that in the beginning and I pulled the plastic end off the tube. I was able to get the end back on.
The lights are great. Shipping was fast, Quality is good as well as the price. We are very pleased how the installation turned out and look forward to lower electric bills.

It Works!
The one piece toilet stated leaking through the flapper and i originally tried one of those universal retrofit flappers. Those don't ever seem to work properly. I ordered the American Standard flapper flush assembly knowing that the flapper should seal properly against the matching assembly.. I felt the price was a bit high compared to flush valve assemblies for two piece toilets kits, but it was either that or replace the whole toilet.
The kit went in very easily. I was a bit concerned about using the tightening disk that came with the kit, I also heard from reviews that tightening took more than expected. Neither of these were an issue. The disk tightener worked well and it tightened up nicely and I knew when it had enough. i added a small bead of silicone caulking under the rubber seal just to be sure it sealed properly. All of this worked perfectly and the toilet is working and sealing flawlessly.

Darkwing Duck
1 of 1 found this helpful I can't say that I'm a big Darkwing duck fan...but my son is. He's autistic, and for his 17th birthday, he kept telling me that he wanted DVDs of Darkwing Duck. This simple little video made him very happy.
