BUY IT!!
6 of 6 found this helpful I’m 15, 160 lbs, and have been using the crap out of this scooter for days. The second time I rode it I got probably 13-14 miles on a mostly flat loop around my neighborhood.
It keeps its 16 mph speed very well. If you’re not low on battery, on slight inclines it might drop to 13-14 mph. On bigger inclines probably 7 mph. But it does get up them! Acceleration is not the fastest, but when you are starting from 2 mph you don’t want to go flying forward. You would fall off. The battery charged up in about 3 hours. It came mostly full and took about 30 minutes when I got it.
I am a big fan of the tires, you will certainly feel the bumps but they will not pop and will last you a longg time. They’re not solid plastic, they have a solid rubber exterior. On smooth surface it’s very quiet and very smooth. The lack of suspension makes bumps vibrate you a lot. The little latch for the folding mechanism rattles when riding, so just use a hair tie or rubber band to secure it to the bottom of the latch (tightly). The deck is sufficient for my mens size 10 feet. The grip is nice, not quite as grippy as a skateboard. The back emergency brake doesn’t provide a lot of stopping power unless you REALLY stomp on it. But the electric brake works great. When I got to 1/4 bars, the incline that had previously kept me at about 13 or 14 mph dropped to 11 consistently. It’s top speed doesn’t change but it certainly has less torque on >30% battery. The bag hook near the handlebars work great. But if you’re carrying much in them cheap plastic bags WILL break. Through all the rattling the bottom just rips out. So it’s worth bringing a better bag or backpack. If you try the throttle and get nothing, know this needs to be going at about 2 mph before ANY throttle will kick in. It requires 1 kick. So far I’ve got 18-20 miles on it and it works like a charm. The front light is not bright, so don’t expect it to help you at night. The only thing it will do is make you more visible. To activate the light: tap 2 times on the power button. To change units (kilometers per hour to mph) press the power button 3 times. 9/10 would recommend. Especially for the 260 I paid for it.
