Does the job !
as an alternative to buying an original Canon battery at three times the cost, it is worth it despite the fact that the battery is not recognized by the Canon camera. That is because of a proprietary chip inside Canon batteries that communicate with the camera telling it it's charging status. This is what you lose with this battery: you don't know how much charge is left in it. However it's a minor issue considering the price. You always need a fully charged spare battery anyway,
