Compelling and Realistic View of Middle Age England
Outstanding historic story about England in the 9th century but with realistic fictionalized details weaving the few known facts together. This is one in the Viking series. Ultra Light Chronograph
I discovered the Toy Watch while searching for a lightweight chronograph, having tired of large and overweight Swiss chronographs. This particular model is closely styled after the popular and expensive Rolex Daytona, except it’s largely made out of plastic, including the matching Oyster-style bracelet. What makes it especially unique is the applied carbon fiber look-alike finish. Even the dial has a realistic carbon fiber appearance. Easy to read thanks to the Rolex style hands. The battery-powered movement appears to be Seiko. The chronograph is fully functional with a sixty minute recorder at 9 o’clock. Oddly for an electric watch, the fly back appears to be mechanical, not motor driven. Thus it is faster at resetting to zero. At 3 o’clock is a non-adjustable 24 hour indicator tied to the hour hand. The 6 o’clock dial is constant seconds. Overall a delightful, interesting, and ultra light watch which admirably performs its primary function – telling time.
